ROUTINE & COMFORT

EVERYDAY CARE

Everyday care isn’t always easy, especially for pets who become nervous or uncomfortable with handling. Whether it’s a difficult nail trim or routine hygiene, Marjorie works patiently and adapts her approach to your pet’s individual needs, making these essential tasks easier to manage at home.

Nail Trims

Pawsome Housecalls offers in-home nail trimming for dogs and cats, allowing your pet to receive routine nail care without a stressful clinic visit. Marjorie adjusts handling and pacing for pets who are nervous or sensitive about having their paws touched.

Ear Cleaning

Pawsome Housecalls provides gentle in-home ear cleaning for dogs and cats, helping maintain routine ear hygiene without a trip to the veterinary clinic. Marjorie uses patient, careful handling to keep your pet as comfortable as possible throughout the process.

Anal Gland Expressions

Pawsome Housecalls provides in-home anal gland expression for dogs and cats who need routine gland maintenance. This service helps pets receive necessary care in a familiar environment, without an additional trip to the veterinary clinic.

Hair Mat Clipping

In-home mat clipping helps remove small areas of tangled or matted fur that may cause discomfort for dogs and cats. Pawsome Housecalls provides careful, localized clipping to improve comfort without requiring a full grooming appointment.

Simple Bandaging

Nursing Services

VETERINARY NURSING

When your pet needs ongoing nursing care or laboratory samples collected, another trip to the veterinary clinic isn’t always necessary. Marjorie works alongside your veterinarian’s established care plan to provide eligible treatments and sample collection at home, helping make essential care more manageable for both you and your pet.

Subcutaneous Fluids / Fluid Demonstration

When your pet needs fluids regularly, repeated veterinary appointments can become difficult to manage. Marjorie can administer prescribed subcutaneous fluids at home according to your veterinarian’s treatment plan. If you’re learning to give fluids yourself, she can also demonstrate the process, answer questions, and help you feel more comfortable with your pet’s ongoing care.

Blood Collection

If your veterinarian has ordered bloodwork, you may be able to skip the extra clinic trip for sample collection. With the proper veterinary orders and testing instructions, Marjorie can draw your dog’s or cat’s blood during a house call. The samples are collected for laboratory testing arranged through your veterinary team, who will interpret the results.

Urine Collection / Cystocentesis

Collecting a urine sample yourself isn’t always practical, especially when your veterinarian needs one obtained directly from the bladder. For pets requiring this type of testing, Marjorie can perform cystocentesis during a home visit when authorized and appropriate. Your veterinarian remains responsible for determining the necessary tests and reviewing the results.

Blood & Urine Collection Package

Need both bloodwork and a urine sample collected for your pet? There’s no need to arrange separate collection appointments. Pawsome offers a combined service that allows both samples to be obtained during one house call, making veterinary testing more convenient for you and less disruptive to your pet’s routine.

Monitoring & Diabetic Care

AT-HOME MONITORING

Managing a chronic condition often means keeping up with regular measurements, appointments, and changing care needs. Pawsome helps simplify that routine with blood pressure monitoring and glucose sensor placement at home, providing valuable information for your veterinarian while reducing unnecessary travel for your pet.

Initial Blood Pressure

Some pets become anxious at the veterinary clinic, which can temporarily affect their blood pressure readings. Marjorie collects measurements in the familiar surroundings of your home, where your pet may be more relaxed. A written report is provided within 24 hours, giving your veterinarian documented readings to review as part of your pet’s care.

Blood Pressure Recheck

When your veterinarian needs to monitor blood pressure over time, follow-up measurements can be scheduled without returning to the hospital. Pawsome makes it easier to maintain a consistent monitoring routine by collecting updated readings at home and documenting them for your veterinary team to evaluate.

Initial Blood Glucose Sensor Placement

Managing a diabetic pet can already involve a lot of appointments and daily responsibilities. If your veterinarian recommends a continuous glucose monitor, Marjorie can help you get started by placing the sensor at home and explaining basic aftercare. The device tracks glucose trends over time, providing information your veterinarian can use to guide treatment decisions.

Blood Glucose Sensor Placement — Within 3 Weeks

Once a glucose sensor needs replacing, you can continue your pet’s monitoring routine without scheduling another hospital visit. Pawsome offers follow-up sensor placement within three weeks of the initial appointment, helping maintain ongoing glucose tracking while your veterinarian oversees diabetes management.

Injections

PRESCRIBED INJECTIONS

Not sure whether your pet’s needs can be handled during a house call? Reach out with the service you’re looking for or your veterinarian’s recommendations. Marjorie can help confirm which services are available and what information you’ll need before scheduling a visit.

Solensia Injection

For cats receiving Solensia to manage osteoarthritis pain, keeping up with prescribed injections is an important part of their veterinary care. Marjorie can administer the medication during a house call with appropriate veterinary authorization. This is especially convenient for cats who become stressed by carriers, car rides, or unfamiliar clinic environments.

Cytopoint Injection

If your dog receives Cytopoint for allergic itching, you may not need a separate clinic appointment for every prescribed injection. With veterinary authorization and the medication available, Marjorie can provide the treatment during a home visit, helping you maintain your dog’s established care schedule with less travel.

Adequan Injection

Pets receiving Adequan may require a series of injections as part of their veterinarian’s treatment plan. Depending on the prescribed administration method, eligible treatments may be available through Pawsome Housecalls. Contact Marjorie with your veterinarian’s instructions beforehand so she can confirm whether the injection can be provided during a home visit.

Other Prescribed Injections

Have a different injectable medication prescribed for your pet? Let Marjorie know the medication and your veterinarian’s administration instructions so she can confirm whether it’s suitable for a house call. Eligible injections provided during an existing subcutaneous fluids visit are available without an additional injection service fee.

My Scope of Care

As a Registered Veterinary Technician, I provide in-home nursing support and routine care for dogs and cats. I do not perform veterinary examinations, diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, or change treatment plans. Treatments requiring veterinary authorization are provided according to your veterinarian’s instructions.
